Hawke 501/421 Gland Fitting Video

This video clips provides installation instructions for 501/421 Hawke brass flameproof (ATEX) cable gland.

The 501/421 cable gland is a brass stuffing gland, suitable for use within EExd hazardous areas on unarmoured cables. Providing up to IP66, IP67 and IP68 environmental seals on the outer sheath and DTS01 deluge protection.

Hawke 501/453 Gland Fitting Video

This video clips provides installation instructions for 501/453 Hawke Cable Glands

The glands provide armour clamping using just one clamping arrangement for all armour and braid types. Provides a cable retention and low smoke and fume, zero halogen seal on the outer sheath of the cable.

Emperor Cable Cleat Short-Circuit Test

This video clip demonstrates the strength of our Emperor trefoil cleats under short-circuit conditions.

A short-circuit of 59kA RMS (118kA peak) is passed down the three-phase arrangement for a period of 0.1 seconds, showing the cables being forced apart by the physical forces present under such conditions and demonstrating the need for correct cable restraint.

Stainless Steel Cable Ties Short-Circuit Test

This video shows the same short-circuit (59kA RMS) passed down a similar cable arrangement, but fastened with stainless steel cables ties and aptly demonstrates the need for using the correct cable cleat for your application.

Alpha Trefoil Cable Cleat Short-Circuit Test

This vido shows our popular Alpha trefoil cleat undergoing short-circuit testing to and four different fault levels, comparing these results with similar test where the cables are restrained with cable ties.

Fault levels tested, with cables cleated every 600mm:

30kA RMS

35kA RMS

40kA RMS

45kA RMS

Ideally suitable for all commercial and industrial applications and fast becoming the industry leader in securing single-core cables in trefoil formation, the Alpha is suitable for installations where modest levels of short-circuit protection capability are required.
