3M ColdShrink Medium Voltage Terminations

Manufactured from high-quality polymers, 3M ColdShrink terminations feature considerable benefits over traditional heat-applied terminations. Installation time is markedly quicker with reduced critical installation steps, no need for naked flame and reduced termination components.

Available from stock to suit a variety of cable voltages: 11kV, 22kV and 33kV.

Fast becoming the standard for MV cable termination, ColdShrink exhibits superior tracking resistance and provides greater service life than conventional heatshrink terminations.

3M PADS Approved ColdShrink Cable Terminations

3M now benefit from PADS approval for their range of ColdShrink termination and joints, for use upto 52kV. Recent projects include the West Coast Mainline and High-Speed 1 rail-link between the Channel Tunnel and St Pancras terminus, 3M is the only PADS approved solution for both terminations and joints across 11kV, 22kV, 33kV and 52kV voltage classes.

3M ColdShrink Medium Voltage Joints

ETS are the main distributor for 3M’s ColdShrink medium voltage (11kV, 24kV, 33kV, 52kV) jointing range. Featuring an array of solutions for jointing polymeric (XLPE, EPR, PE etc) and paper insulated cables for single-core and three-core cable configurations, whether straight, branch, trifurcating, transitional or trif-trans, we have products available to satisfy any MV cable jointing requirement.

3M Low Voltage ColdShrink Products

Available from stock for immediate delivery: 3M ColdShrink end-caps, low-voltage (upto 1000v) joints and terminations and cable abandonment kits.

EPDM and Silicone insulation tubes, including the Network Rail approved PST tubes, LA11, LO41 and LO42 are all available from stock, together with Scotch self-amalgamating tapes for use on DC track feeder cables.

3M Resin Jointing Systems

Featuring the Advanced Delivery System resin packs, we stock a comprehensive range of low voltage (upto 1000v) cable submarine joints including the LVI range for SWA cables and the 91-NBA range suitable for unarmoured cables.

Products available for hazardous area use include the LVI-3 range and large stocks of 1402F resin, suitable for use within contaminated petrochemical environments.
